Medication for emergency kit

I have to take medication everyday. In the emergency kit preparation instructions, it is suggested to include prescription medication in case of emergency. The problem is that it is difficult to obtain additional doses of prescription medication. The pharmacist, in general, will only fill out a prescription to take care of immediate needs; because of their code of practice, it is not permitted to fill out prescriptions in advance. What do you suggest?

The USA Public Health Agency indicate that if it is not possible to keep prescription medication doses in case of emergency, you will have to prepare and keep with you a precise description of your health state, your prescriptions (including the dosage) and the needs related to your treatment along with the name of the doctor that gave the prescription. Access to these informations can allow the emergency responders to respond to the medical needs of people with more effectiveness and speed.
